Their story
Questions the officer asked
- 1.The interview lasted an hour and a half. Once we were called into the office they took our passports and driver's licenses. The officer noticed the address on my husband's license and questioned it right away, so we handed over our supporting documents. Then he asked me to wait outside โ that day we noticed all the couples were being separated.
- 2.They asked a lot of questions about our relationship, right down to our cats and how we got them, and then the I-485 questions.
- 3.They asked about my immigration history and I told them honestly that I had violations โ overstay and unauthorized work. I also have a traffic ticket from three years ago, so I explained what happened and how we took care of it. No problems after that.
- 4.At the end the officer said my case would be held for review, but that he was recommending an approval.
